Intel gains SSD orders from Google, say sources

昨今のノートパソコンでも使われるようになった、不揮発性メモリーベースのDRIVEをGoogleが発注だそうな。物理的な板で動作するHDDに比べ、シークタイムなど物理動作による遅延が無い上に処理も高速。これからのHDDはSSDに取って代わっていくという時代が来るだろうね。書き込み回数の制限がHDDに比べ早く劣化するということなので、この辺りが改善されれば。
あと、価格だね。
